Sunda Systems Oy is a Finnish language technology company, established in 2004. Our mission is to develop general language-independent machine translations. This MT technology is utilized and integrated in our development of general language-independent machine translation systems, for both personal and corporate use.
Our translation systems are designed with the following objectives:
- Sunda’s MT technology should be general and language-independent in the sense that it can be used to develop a machine translator for any language pair, without any preconditions.
- Sunda’s technology is based on sound linguistic principles that will provide efficient and accurate translations.
- The development environment should be simple and efficient to use.
Sunda has succeeded in these goals. To test the technology in a concrete setting, we have developed an English-Finnish translator. The translator is deterministic and translates about 2000 sentences per second on a standard PC.
